Exposure Program of Social Work Department

The Social Work Department of St. Charles Seminary had organized an exposure program for the brothers of IInd year Theology at Dodra Mohar which comes in Baitul district of Madhya Pradesh. The program was schedule from 10th of Dec 2009 to 2nd of Jan 2010 under the care and guidance of Yeshodeep project run by Fr. Herald OP.
The brothers had an enriching experience with the local tribal who are basically farmers. They were involved in three villages viz, Handipani, Biriyadore and Sonede. These villages are 8km away from the Dodra Mohar railway station.

Area: Following villages were undertaken for various activities
Handipani.
Biriyadore
Sonade.

Activities: Following were the activities conducted by the brothers.

1. Teaching (Basic English and Moral Values) in the primary and higher-primary
Schools.
2. Conducting Child Parliament in the above villages after the school.
3. Conducting street plays in the above villages based on value of education,
unity, religious harmony, moral values, awareness programs etc.
4. Conducting programs for the youth.
5. Distributing school bags to the children of ten villages.
6. Family visit to build a brotherly relationship with all.

Yeshodeep: Is an NGO project who’s main goals for the locals are as follows:-

1. Zero Migration.
2. Cultivation of Seasonal Crops.
3. Employment Generation.
4. More Crop & Maximum Profit.

Apart from the above goals, the project undertook in large scale the developmental programs like: Water Shed Program, Farm Pond, Rain Water Storage, Ground Water Level Increasing Program, Introducing New Government Schemes Program, Self Help Group, Mahila Mandal, Child Parliament, Food and Goods Distribution Program.
